I was really excited to read this book. This book received so much hype everywhere I turned. But for me, this book fell flat. It felt rushed and I felt as if there was no character growth.
Jade a lot of the time really annoyed me. She was so quick to say one thing about Talon but do another. Poor Talon, he was one messed up guy. He had so many issues but held them in so for so long it made him closed off from everyone. He was my favorite character in this book. I just hated the way he always hid behind sex, yes he was attracted to Jade but he whenever he didn’t want to talk or avoid his feelings he always turned it to sex.
I was let down by this book but I’m willing to at least give the second book in this series a chance before I decide not to finish.
