Meh. I was hoping I would like it as much as I did Until Friday Night, but I was highly disappointed. Gunner, Brady and Willa were best friends before she moved away with her mom. Now she’s back in Lawson after some traumatic experiences.
This one was hard to get through. I really didn’t like any of the main characters. Gunner was so terrible! There was nothing about him that showed he had any good qualities. He was arrogant, rude, and selfish. Brady was okay until you realize how weak he was. Willa was okay, but she just didn’t seem relatable at all.
You could tell from the blurb there was going to a love triangle. If you put a love triangle in a book, how about you actually give us some actual good guys to choose from. I really didn’t like either of them.
The ending was so flat! When I was done all I could say was “that’s it?!” She left so many things unanswered. I’m only willing to read the next installment because Riley’s story seems like it has potential.
