For Her Series #3
by Alexa Riley
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Jordan Chen is the man behind the screen. As part of the elite security team for Osbourne Corporation, he has an iron grip on protection, all without having to make close connections with people. Until he meets the beautiful Jay, and suddenly his quiet life doesn’t seem so perfect anymore. He needs more. He needs her.
A workaholic to her core, Jay Rose doesn’t have a lot of men in her life. Smiling in the face of her enemies gets her the results she wants at work, but doesn’t exactly project a warm, welcoming vibe. So she’s surprised when the enigmatic security expert strikes up a friendship with her—surprised but flattered, and maybe a little bit turned on.
A company as powerful as Osbourne Corporation has powerful enemies, and when Jay becomes a target, Jordan realizes there’s nothing he won’t do to bring her home safe.

I was sitting between a 3 and four stars with this one. We all know that I’m trash for Alexa Riley’s standalones, but it’s no secret that I was not a fan of the first book in this series. When I saw this was available to request on Netgalley, I requested it just to see if it got better. And it did.
Now it still had faults, but I actually enjoyed the romance between Jay and Jordan. That’s what ended up giving it the four star rating. This had the insta love that I crave and they were simply adorable to read about.
When Jordan finally wanted to get out the friend zone and show Jay that he intended to claim her, MAN it got hot! I loved seeing his possessive side come out. Poor Jay didn’t know what hit her.
Like I said earlier the book did have its faults. I was getting quite annoyed with Jay when she started getting threatened. Like rolling my eyes annoyed.
All in all, it was a good read with romance and suspense together. I recommend if you like Alexa Riley but always wanted a longer book from them!

I haven’t read this author before. I am going to need to try one of her standalone novels if they’re that good! I will probably skip this one because the blurb isn’t my thing.

This series wasn’t my favorite from them but I still had to read it.
I always throw a disclaimer out there on their standalones, they are short, over the top, and have a big insta lust setting. I know sometimes it’s not for everyone.

Great review! This sounds pretty good, but insta-love is not my thing.
