Ya’ll, I really enjoyed this book so much. This was the Alexa Riley that I know and love! This was steamy and just a great story. This a bit different than what they put out, however. Yes, there was instalove, but the way it was done was different.
Ava gave Lucas a hard time in the beginning. She was skeptical about his interest in her. She was sassy and had a quick wit. She wasn’t the usual heroine that we get in their stories and I was loving it. Lucas was such a sweetheart you guys! I was falling in love with him along with Ava. I loved his gestures and how he was quick to let her know that she was his.
I really enjoyed the narration! I did blush quite a bit though while listening to the steamy scenes. Something about reading them vs listening makes me blush. Does this happen to anyone else?
Now he only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars was because they cut the epilogue chapters from the audiobook. I would have to wait until the eBook releases in February to read them. Is that a petty reason to drop a star? I don’t know, but I live for epilogues in my romance.
Besides the missing epilogue, I really enjoyed this story. If you love Alexa Riley don’t hesitate to listen to this one. Heck, it’s free!

You should!! I like they only do about 2 chapters a day. It makes it the perfect time length for my work commute.

Glad you enjoyed it! I actually wasn’t a fan of the narrators. I think the recording/mixing of it was weird because it sounded very robot-ish. Sad they cut the epilogue. I guess they want you to actually buy the book. And it comes out in February! 😦 That’s so far away. Lol.

I thought the female narrator was okay but the guy seemed like he was rushing. There was no feeling in his voice.
I’m still upset about there not being an epilogue!

You are not alone, I also blushed when listening to the steamy scenes! Reading and listening are v different, and I didn’t realize that until this audiobook. I didn’t realize that the epilogue was cut from the audiobook though!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I agree that there is a difference when listening to steamy scenes! I wouldn’t have a bat a eye if I was reading it.
