P.S. I Still Love You
TABILB #2
by Jenny Han
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

“All you need is time, and you, little one, have all the time in the world..”
I enjoyed this so much more than I enjoyed TATBILB! This one felt more real to me that the first. So much more relatable!
This one shown the light on dating in high school. It automatically brought me back to being in high school. We were also brought, John McClaren. So there was a love triangle here. And we all know how I feel about them. (I can’t stand them!)
Lara Jean is still adorable still makes me want to squeeze her. She learns some things about love and also growing up and learning that some friendships and relationships aren’t forever. I enjoyed going through the pages reading about her life and her choices.
Lara Jean and Peter were cute here and I really enjoyed some of the moments the moments between them. They aren’t fake dating anymore so we do get some swoony moments that you can’t help but grin at.
“I can see now that it’s the little things, the small efforts, that keep a relationship going. And I now know too that in some small measure I have the power to hurt him and also the power to make it better.”
Let me rant a little bit about Peter. Ya’ll I was so happy and smiling like an idiot about him and Lara Jean. He stood up for her and never let anyone mess with her. He was sweet and I was rooting for him in the beginning. I really was! However, I had a feeling that him still talking to Gen was going to play a part in this book and it did. I don’t like the way he handled it. Lara Jean deserved better than that!
I’ll say this a little louder for the people in the back. I was cheering for John McClaren until the end! I know there are some die hard Peter fans out there, but John was the best choice for me in this book. He wanted Lara Jean and didn’t beat around the bush about it. Also, he didn’t have any drama or ex girlfriends to deal with. He was a pure angel!
This book dealt with first loves and loving two boys at the same time, all while dealing with school and family issues. It really held my attention and I’m excited to read the last book in this trilogy.
Great review, love! I’ve only seen the movie for TATBILB, and that’s so sad to hear that Peter still talks to Gen in this book and doesn’t handle it well! Doesn’t sounds cool at all! Definitely need to pick up this series at some point though. 😊

I’m hoping that they make a sequel for the movie! I just need more!
Peter was making me so upset by still talking to Gen. Laura Jean deserved better than that!

Me too, Sophie! I’d rather them be honest even if it’s a little harsh than hid behind something.

So this series gets better as it goes along? Maybe I should rethink reading the rest of it. Great review!

I thought the second book was so much better! I feel like we get to see Laura Jean learn about what she wants and how relationships aren’t going to be like the books she reads.

That’s such a good thing for younger readers. So many girls/ young women think guys should be like book heroes. There’s a reason someone made them up!😉

I agree that is! It also shows that just because you like someone, that doesn’t mean that they are the best person for you.

I haven’t been brave enough to try this one as I love Peter and have heard mixed things. Your excellent review is definitely making me rethink that! Glad you liked it 🙂

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who love John. I was screaming at her to pick him because I knew he would treat her better. Also, his grandma was the sweetest!
