Hello guys! It’s time for another TBR. I know you are expecting to see books on this post. Well, I’m actually forgoing a TBR in December! Surprise!

Honestly, I have just decided to wing it for the last month of the year. By the time this post goes live, I will have read 201 books this year. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I think reading that much earns a month to just do whatever I want. Do I have ARCs that I should be reading? You’re damn right I do. However, is forcing myself to read them going to give me a happy reading experience? Heck no.
So we are winging it! I refuse to stress about ARCs, TBRs, and all of that in the last month of the year.

Now, this doesn’t mean that I don’t plan to read AT ALL. I do. Just whenever I feel like it and something that I’m excited to read. Honestly, I might just binge the rest of the Shadowhunter series. There are some books that I have been wanting to get to that have been on my bookshelf for a while.
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
East by Edith Pattou
I do know that I want to read at least one book related to the holiday in some way. I’m thinking of reading Kiss Me at Christmas by Valerie Bowman. I can’t go all December without reading a least one holiday book.
Thanks for reading!
I am so glad to see another reader/blogger that is just winging it in December! In July I thought I would have a grand plan for the last month of the year, but… nope!

Thumbs up for reading what you want, when you want this month! If you do decide to pick up a book, Daughter of Smoke and Bone is a great read.

I listened to some of the audiobook a few months ago, and I loved it. I hope to finish it this month!

Dumplin’ was a good read. I always love Murphy’s messy realistic characters and we got the movie coming soon! Whatever you read I hope you have a great month!

The cover got me first and the synopsis sounds like it’s going to be really good!

201 books – wow!!! I’ve been on a lack of TBR streak lately too and just wanting to enjoy reading without the pressure. I’ve actually even read a few without writing a review – the shame! Sometimes it’s nice just to READ if you know what I mean!

I feel like I’ve been reading a lot more this way. I’m starting to prefer it this way.

Yes, girl! Join the dark side (aka mood reading! Hehehe)! I told myself not to stress about ARCs or any books I told myself I *should* read in November, and it was honestly so relaxing. I hope you have an absolutely lovely reading month in December, Kayla! ❤

I don’t know why but this post just brings me so much joy??? I typically wing it and it’s way better. Of course now I am feeling guilty but we won’t talk about that

I feel a little guilty winging it, but I feel like I have been reading more.

GOOD! I keep telling myself that if I am not in the right mood for a review copy, I probably won’t like it and why set a book review for failure? Alleviates some guilt for me.

I have been the exact same way!!! I honestly haven’t been wanting to read them, just backlisted titles.
