Marble isn’t the only thing that’s hard at this museum.
His body is as chiseled as Adonis. His lips are as sculpted as David. And his ego is the size of the Guggenheim.
You know the type—wolfish smile and the gravity of a black hole. The kind of man who sucks all the air from the room the second he enters it. My cocky boss thinks this internship was wasted on me, and he doesn’t hesitate to let me know.
But he’s wrong, and I’m going to prove it to him. If I can stay away from his devil lips, that is. Lips that cut me down and kiss me in the same breath, leaving me certain he’s on a mission to ruin my life.
And maybe my heart, too.
*A brand new STANDALONE romantic comedy full of steam, laughs, and heart by bestselling author Staci Hart*
This was my first book by Staci Hart so I didn’t know what to expect. This is along the lines of a forbidden office romance. For the most part, I did enjoy this one. The storyline, the chemistry, and the uplifting tone here.
I adored Rin’s character and her growth. She went from wanting to hide behind her hair to her wanting to show how beautiful she was inside and out. I also love how diverse she was. She Korean and Dutch and also over 6ft tall. We don’t get too much diversity in romance and Staci Hart gave us mix race and someone who wasn’t short and petite.
I loved the close-knit group of friends that Rin had and I hope that every single one of them gets their own book. They uplifted each other and it was so refreshing to see a group of women be friends without the drama and jealousy that we usually see.
People are going to look at me,” I whispered.
“People look at you anyway. Give them something to see.”
Court isn’t going to make my book boyfriend list, but I was glad that he got his head out of his ass. He was really irritating me with how he pushed Rin away. Honestly, I got whiplash just reading about his behavior. I don’t see how Rin kept up with it. I get the man was flawed because of his past, but sir, figure out what you want before you starts something with someone.
While it wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever read, it was entertaining and I want to keep reading this series of standalones. I think the next book Player is about Val and I’m excited about her story!
Great and honest review Kayla!

I was curious about this one. I’m glad you liked it! My first book by her was Bad Penny. I loved that book. I have tried to find another one like that one of hers, but haven’t yet.
Great review!

I haven’t read this one yet, but I recently read Player and thought it was cute. I will say that Court didn’t seem to have much personality in it and didn’t really make me intrigued to read this one. If that makes sense…

I agree about Court. I wanted to smack him upside the head so many times.
I recently finished Player and I gave that one 4 stars! I really liked Val!
