Hi friends! August looks like it’s going to be full of awesome new releases. I decided to type a post about the ones that I am looking forward to the most. Also, August is a busy month for me since I work at a university so I’m so sad that I know I won’t be able to read most of these until next month. 😭
So let’s get into the books, shall we!
Catching Him (How to Catch an Alpha #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds // Expected Publication: August 27, 2019
We all know that ARR is my romance queen. If she writes it, I read it.
Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell & Faith Erin Hicks // Expected Publication: August 27, 2019
Even though I have been personally insulted by Rowell’s writing in the past, I still want to read this graphic novel. I mean look at that adorable black girl on the cover! Fingers crossed she doesn’t screw this up.
The Truth About Cowboys (Texas Heat #1) by Lisa Renee Jones // Expected Publication: August 27, 2019
This is giving me enemies to lovers and cowboys. We all know that I am trash for both in my books.
Making A Play ( The Field Party #5) by Abbi Glines // Expected Publication: August 20, 2019
Why am I excited about this?! I honestly don’t even know why I keep doing this to myself. I only liked the first book in this series but I keep coming back for more.
I’m so looking forward to Rage By Cora Carmack, The Bridge Kingdom By Danielle L. Jensen, and The First GIrl Child By Amy Harmon.

I need to do a reread of Roar since it’s been so long between books. I have forgotten so much lol.

I am starting to slowly dabble in romance a bit – it’s been a little bit of journey this summer but I enjoy branching out! These titles look fun. I’m interested in Pumpkinheads but I’ve never read a Rainbow Rowell (I know – I’m an alien). I have Fangirl and Carry On and I’m interested but just never pick them up. I really should give her at least a shot.

I stopping being interested in Rainbow Rowell after I DNF’ed Elenor and Park, but this graphic novel looked too good to pass up!

I know I should walk away after really disliking the last one in the series, but Abbi Glines is an author that’s hard for me to ignore a new relase from.

I completely understand. What if there’s a good one in there? Sometimes there are.

The artwork on the Pumpkin Heads cover is SO cute! ❤ I haven't read anything by Rowell before, but I'm being very much allured by that art! Hehe. Great post, Kayla! 🙂
