Hey guys! It’s time for another Top 5 Tuesday. This tag is hosted by Shannah over at Bionic Book Worm.
Today’s topic is Top 5 cover of 2019. We have been blessed with some stunning covers this year so asking me to narrow it down to just 5 was cruel. I added already released books and unreleased books just to have some variety. Ready? Let’s get to it!
Winterwood by Shea Earnshaw
Now, this doesn’t release until November, but goodness! To say I can’t wait to put my hands on this book would an understatement.
Waiting for Spring Vol. 11 by Anashin
This has nothing to do with the graphics and more with the face that Kamiyama is on the cover. He is my absolute favorite character from this series and it was so good to see him grace the cover again. (Now if we can just get him to win this love triangle…)
The Grace Year by Kim Liggett
If you couldn’t tell from my blog, my favorite color is pink. So this immediately caught my eye! There’s also that single drop of blood that makes you look closer at it. (does that make me sound like a madwoman?)
Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
At first glance of this one, all I saw was the purple/pink them. When I looked closer and saw that person in the background I knew I wanted to read this book. I really enjoyed it BTW!
Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
I couldn’t finish this list without mentioning Aurora Rising. I am trash for Charlie Bowater’s artwork and this cover was no different. I feel like she mastered Aurora’s character so spot on!
I love that Aurora Rising cover. It’s so pretty and magical.

Oh my god! I feel so stupid – I have looked at Lock Every Door like a million times – I guess not too close. I didn’t notice that person on the cover – what even!??!! That is freaky ! I can’t wait to read that one. I haven’t gotten it yet because my silly bookstore wants over $30 for it! Eek!

Oh no! does your local library have a copy you can read? It would be great for next month. The atomosphere of the building was so good!

Winterwood and Aurora Rising truly have stunning covers! It’s a bit of a shame though, because I was very underwhelmed by the latter. That cover and all the hype drew me in! Hahaha! Great post, Kayla! ❤

I can get that. I feel like people either loved or disliked Aurora Rising. Have you seen the naked hardback for Winterwood?

I have not seen the naked hardback, but if it’s anything like the cover, I’m sure it’s beautiful! Haha
