Hello friends! It’s 2020 and I’m back with my first TBR post of the year. I’m just going to ignore that I haven’t made a TBR since October. I need to find a reading schedule while still getting adjusted to all the life changes I’ve had recently. Are 4 books and a manga a bit overboard for someone who barely has time to read lately? Yes it is, but I’m going to give it ago!
๐๐๐
๐Twisted Palace by Erin Watt – I started rereading The Royal series last month and can’t wait to reread the final book in Reed and Ella’s story. I love this fucked up family so much!
๐An Incurable Case of Love, Vol. 2 by Maki Enjoji – I read and enjoyed the first volume of this series so much and I have NOT patiently waiting for this to release this month.ย
๐Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson – I DNFed this book last year and I’ve been wanting to give it another chance. Here’s to second chances! I’m buddy reading this with my twin Autumn over at Chapter Malliumpkin.
๐Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout – I love JLA and her books. So when I saw that this was taking place in the same world as the Dark Elements series I know I wanted to read it. I should have done a reread of that series first, but oh well. I’m currently listening to it on audio and I’m enjoying it so far!ย
๐Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer by Katie Alender – I can’t lie and say that the title didn’t make me pick this up. It did and the synopsis sounds so good. It’s less than 300 pages and takes place in Paris. I don’t need anything else.ย
I wish I had known you were planning on reading Storm & Fury this month!

Good luck with your tbr!!! I can’t wait to see your thoughts on Twisted Palace. That series was such a roller coaster ride and I loved it!!! I wish they’d release another series like it!!

I hope you can get through Truly Devious! I enjoyed that book but have heard others not like it.

Iโve heard so many mixed reviews about it but good things about the series as a whole.

Good luck with your reading pile this month, Kayla! I have faith that you shall succeed! ๐ You know, I don’t think I’ve ever read Twisted Kingdom. I quit the series after the second book, I believe. Hmm, maybe I should revisit that decision. I’ll be on the look out for your thoughts on that one.
Happy New Year, Kayla!!

Haha, I quit after reading the first part of Eastonโs duology. I wanted so much more for him. But give the third book a another chance!

You keep making me want to do a Royals re-read, too! Maybe I can fit one in this year!

Good luck with Truly Devious! I reread it last year and did NOT enjoy it as much the second time and the sequel kind of drove me batty… getting book 3 from the library and hoping that my memory is good enough for going in blind because I won’t be re-reading again for a refresher lol

Lmao! I hope I can get through it. I do remember it being pretty slow moving.

IT IS WORSE THE SECOND TIME. Like I didn’t realize the atrocious pacing until the reread and it was like crawling through glass. lmao
