May 2020 Wrap Up

Hello friends! First, I hope that everyone is safe and staying healthy. May was a bit of a weird month for me. It was good because I had a birthday and turned 29, but being honest, I felt completely unnecessary.  I have just let myself fade to the background with my reading and blogging. While I still have been reading, I have been running away from blogging. I take forever to reply to comments and check out other’s posts.  Maybe I need a break? I don’t know, but please stay with me guys. If I seem distant, it’s really just me. I hope to get to feeling like myself again soon.

Sad things aside, let’s jump into my wrap up for May!

Best Book Read

Riot House by Callie Hart

Which Mamamoo member is your ideal type? - KnowKPOP

This month I dived into Mamamoo and think I found my second favorite girl group after Red Velvet. Their songs and their individual style really captured me. I can only see myself falling more in love with them.

Group - Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon | Sailor moon, Sailor moon ...

I’m still living my best life and continuing my rewatch of Sailor Moon. Sidenote; why didn’t anyone tell me how long the seasons are? Season one has 40+ episodes in it alone.

Now to the main reason of this post, the books! This month I’ve read 20 things this month. IMG_2904

Manga Wrap Up

Living Room Matsunaga-San by Keiko Iwashita – I am growing more obsessed with this story and the characters. Meeko continues to be so adorable and relatable. Her interactions with everyone else who lives in the boarding house really make this manga shine. I can’t help but be drawn to the relationship between Meeko and Matsunaga. It’s really sweet and I can’t wait to see what happens between them.
 2/8 VOLUMES (ongoing)

So here is my wrap up for May, moving on to June!

  1. A great list! I have been wanting to read Flirty! It sounds like a good book. The Mountain Man’s Kitten by Dani Wyatt looks like a great book too. I love mountain men books. I read Lumberjack by Jenika Snow. Hope you have a great day!

  2. Hey, May has been a REALLY tough month for SO MANY reasons. A birthday can sometimes add to the sadness even when it should be a happy thing. I’m glad reading was there for you. We’ll all be here waiting when you are able to be more a part of the blogging world. We love you!!! I’ve probably been blogging more than usual because I have rarely left the house (stay at home order) and have to share my laptop with my 6th grader who is still doing school. It’s helping keep me sane and feeling like I’m socializing. It’s different for everyone. *Big hugs!*

  3. I have been running away from blogging too Kayla. I think these weird times make us want to retreat in a protective bubble

  4. Kayla – the Sailor Moon seasons are all really long!! I’m pretty sure that the R seasons (1 and 2) have at least 45 episodes each. I think S, Super S and Sailor Stars are all slightly shorter though.

  5. What a good reading month! Don’t feel bad if you need a break, we’ll still be here. ♥ And omg happy belated birthday!!! WTF I feel horrible, I SWORE I had your birthday on my phone calendar, I’m so sorry! 😦 I hope you had a good birthday!!

  6. Did I wish you a happy birthday? Sorry, I don’t think I did. Glad to hear you had a nice birthday.

Please don’t stress over taking a break from blogging, Kayla, we all need to step away at times. 2020 is a very strange year and it’s affecting all of us. You are not unnecessary. Far from it actually, and we’ll be here if you want to reach out.
