Aurora Rose Reynolds Mini Reviews | Rushed & Until April

Hello friends! I recently read two books from Aurora Rose Reynolds. Which if you frequent the blog, then you know she’s one of my favorite romance authors. I read Rushed and Until April. Let’s see what my thoughts are!  Post Divder Spring

Cybil is the queen of bad timing. First, her fiancé breaks up with her days before their wedding. Next, she’s stuck going on a couples retreat in the Montana wilderness alone. And worst of all, now she’s fighting a growing attraction to the wilderness retreat’s rugged owner, Tanner.

Tanner has built his wilderness adventure service on a few key principles: never take unnecessary risks, never put anyone’s life in danger—and never, ever sleep with a client. The arrival of a beautiful new visitor, however, might mean bending the rules.

Two people looking for anything but romance may have just bumped into their soul mates. In the Montana wilds, any misstep can spell danger. Cybil and Tanner just have to decide if they’re brave enough to face their next adventure.

MY feelings

I liked it, but I didn’t love it. If you frequent my reviews then you know that ARR is my top favorite romance author. I love her books and it guts me to rate this one three stars. I think it comes down to the fact I never really felt the spark or instant attraction between them. It was written there, but I didn’t feel it. The relationship between them was sweet and happened easily, which I do like. I can say that I wish there were more repercussions with her ex. He did her dirty and it seemed that everyone just let him off the hook so easily.

Overall, not my favorite from this author, but I am excited to read more in this series. Hopefully, I enjoy Risky a bit better.3 Star Rating
*I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.

Series: Until Her/Him

Check it Out: Goodreads

With happily ever after being something that happens to other people, April Mayson has decided to put all her energy into her career and living her best life, and things are better than ever.

Little does she know that her world is about to be turned upside down when she’s asked to help out a family friend, Maxim Kauwe.

Now, she’s dealing with a man unlike any she’s ever met before, her ex—a famous musician who’s decided he wants her back—and a possible serial killer.

With all the drama suddenly swirling around her, she will have to figure out if she is brave enough to trust Maxim with her heart and maybe even her life.

MY feelings

This won’t be a new favorite of mine. There was a lot going on here. We had a troublesome ex, death threats, and an actual murder suspect on the loose. It was a lot to keep up with along with trying to read about the romance between Maxim and April.

The romance between them was fast. They met once when they were kids and I guess that always stuck with them. Because once they met again as adults, it’s a relationship from that day forward. I know a lot of people might not enjoy that aspect of it, but I love me a quick, no fuss romance. Maxim was the type of hero from ARR that I look forward too. Alpha, possessive, and downright in love with his girl.

I’m a big lover of this series, so I guess it’s just a case of “you can’t win them all”. I’ll be looking out for the next one though and hope I enjoy it.

  1. Completely agree with your review for Until April. I’m so happy we got to read it together. I know you didn’t love Rushed, but I think I am still going to read it since I’m going to read Risky.

  2. It looks like these were lackluster to what you are used to experiencing from this author here. I haven’t read this author but I do have her on my list as Rushed has such a pretty cover (and yes thats what drew me to her haha)
