Hey friends! I was just going to ignore the fact that I haven’t posted a Wrap up since August, let alone hardly reviews either. I feel like I always have a slump or terrible mental health, but lately, it’s been one or the other.
I also took a step back to analyze that I wasn’t enjoying reading anymore. I was always worried about having content and making sure that I was keeping up with new releases. I was exhausted and burnt out and didn’t want to read because it felt like too much to keep up with. So, I took some time just not reading until it came back to me naturally. So while I won’t be posting as much as I used to, I’m reading again and nothing feels better than that!
Besides reading, I have been obsessed with Disney Dreamlight Valley. I have it downloaded on my Switch and have already logged many hours playing it. If you’re interested in playing with Disney characters in an animal crossing like way, check this game out!
Music
Here are the songs that I kept on repeat in October!
TV
I’ve recently started watching the Bleach anime. I don’t know if I’m actually going to follow through with it because it has over 300 episodes. That’s a lot of commitment! I just kept seeing so much about the Blood War arc that I finally sat down to watch the show.
Books
Now, the main reason for this post is the books! I read 19 things and had one DNF in October.

Looks like you’ve got back into a groove. I love that you took the time to make reading feel right again. I found myself focusing on older books I wanted to read the past couple of years and it’s worked for me. I also dumped everything off my TBR that I no longer wanted to read or just knew I wouldn’t. Now I focus on the new releases from authors I love. I hope your balance continues.
P.S. Post whenever you feel like it. It’s a great surprise for your followers when you do!

I probably should do the same thing. There a few authors that I enjoy that I need to see if they have anything new.

I am so sorry that you have been struggling this year with reading. It looks like you were able to get your reading groove back on though. I understand though, last year I went six months without reading much, so I definitely get it. My trick this year is just being more picky about books I pick up, basically books I expect a 4 or 5 star from, if I feel it will be less than that, I don’t bother with it haha I hope you have a fun Halloween, and great month in November!

Thanks for that advice! I should be more picky when I pick books up. That could help me!

I’ve been burnt out too recently. I couldn’t find a book that satisfied me but taking a break really helped me too!

Breaks really do help. I try to push through sometimes, but it usually ends up badly lol

Disney Dreamlight Valley is so much fun! Also, I see you rereading Beasts of Abigaile. Such a good series and I’m so grateful you introduced me to it!

I wish the mangaka had more time to finish the story, but it’s one of my favorites.

Same! I know we talked about it before. It would have been so cool to see them continue the series.
