Wrap Up

My Top Books of 2022

Hey friends! Since we are days away from 2023, I thought I would share my top books of 2022. There weren’t many this year that I can call favorites, but these here stood out to me. Every book on this list is one that I have at least pushed one person to read.

Let’s get into my top books of 2022!Heart Divider

Heartless by Elise SilverI finished it in one day and that’s rare for me with a book over 400 pages. The chemistry between these two was electric and the sexual tension was awesome! I will definitely be picking up the next book in the series and I’m not so patiently waiting for it to release.

I Married A Naga by Regine Abel I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. I saw someone describing the smut on TikTok and I was intrigued to pick it up. I adored this couple so much! Especially Szaro. The lengths he went to to make Serena happy were amazing. I liked reading about them learning about each other’s customs and blending them together.

My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey I doubt anyone is shocked to see a Tessa Bailey book on this list. My Killer Vacation had me smiling and also fanning myself at the same time. I enjoyed our main characters and the journey of them catching a killer and falling in love.

Never with Me by Kaylee Ryan This is exactly why I read Kaylee Ryan’s books. She always gives low angst romance and a couple that gets together and stays together. Deacon and Ramsey were cute and definitely made for each other.

The Never King by Nikki St. Crowe This was the first TikTok recommendation that was a winner for me. A dark Peter pan retelling that was along a reverse Harem? Sold!

Colters’ Woman by Maya Banks I was contemplating adding this one to the list. I try to stay away from books that even hint at a menage in them. I gave this a try because since they were all brothers there wouldn’t be any MM scenes. (no hate if that’s what you like, but not for me) Pleasantly, all of the scenes were either one on one or where all three brothers focused on Holly. Can I find three brothers that worship me? Too much to ask?

Heart DividerSo these were my top books of 2022. If you’ve read any of them, message me so we can talk about it!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I haven’t read many romances, but I did try branching out this year and read You Had Me At Hola! Will definitely be reading more in 2023, I’ve heard really good things about elsie silver, will have to try out her books too. Wonderful list Kayla 💞

  2. Heartless was so good! I binged that book! I had no idea it was that long because it didn’t feel that way. I also loved that Kaylee Ryan book. It was my first book of hers and it made me go on a binge of some of her backlist.
I hope 2023 is an amazing year for you – reading and otherwise!

  3. I tried reading that Maya Banks years ago but that was before I liked menage, I really need to go back to it. Everyone but me loved Heartless haha But I am so thrilled that it was such a wiin for you. The hero was done so well in that one and you are right about the level and amount of steam in it.

  4. The Never King looks really good! Honestly, haven’t jumped on it because of the TikTok hype. Hyped up books always make me nervous, but since you really liked it… I might have to look into getting it.
