I haven’t made a wine post in a while. I had been seeing this wine at my local Randalls and the label kept making me want to try it. So I bit the bullet and tried it and I have no regrets! I’ve never had a Syrah before, and I’m glad this didn’t disappoint. Its light and very crisp. It doesn’t have that bite or strong taste like some drier reds. I would give this an 8/10.
Excerpt from the website:
68% ZINFANDEL, 18% PETITE SIRAH, 8% GRENACHE, 6% SYRAH
“Lucky boxcars with this Zinfandel-dominated blend, which tumbles out on the tongue with dark cherries, fresh, ripe strawberries, a double dip of chocolate and vanilla, and the cool grip of moto jacket (aka leather). Paradise awaits.
Aromas of briary fruit, vanilla leaf and pepper are sweet on the nose, but the palate is dry in style, with pepper and tar notes joining the bright fruit, finishing with full integration. Pop, pour and drink up!”
