June 2019 Wrap Up

Hi friends, it’s time for another monthly wrap up!

June was a trying month for me. I couldn’t seem to really get into anything but manga this month. Not that it’s a terrible thing because I still consider manga reading. (if you don’t, we can’t be friends) I included a section at the bottom to show what manga series I’m continuing and what ones I’m dropping. (let me know if you like this or hate it)

What bothers me is that I really had to make myself sit down and read a few times. Maybe I’m burning out?

Now before we jump into books, let’s talk about music and TV.

I have been listening to GOT7’s new album Spinning Top that released last month BECAUSE I am finally seeing them live next month in Dallas!

They are my absolute favorite K-Pop band so you know my life is about to be changed!

I have finally picked a new anime to watch and I am really enjoying it! It’s called Sweet Love Patisserie and it’s on Crunchyroll. Now it is a bit strange since each episode is only 5 minutes long 😵

Now to the main reason of this post, the books! This month I’ve read 14 books & 38 mangas.

Manga Wrap Up

June Manga WU

Aoba-Kun’s Confessions – I really enjoyed this one! However, I didn’t know that only volumes 1-5 were on Kindle Unlimited. While I do/ and will finish this series, I’m not in a big rush since I will have to pay for the remaining three volumes. This is going to be on hold until I finish the others first. 5/8 VOLUMES

Waiting for Spring– I can’t stop reading about these characters. I need to know what happens in this love triangle! 3/ VOLUMES (series is ongoing)

QQ Sweeper – There is only one more book in this prequel manga and I’m so invested that I keep checking my library holds to see if it’s in already. 2/3 VOLUMES

Dengeki Daisy – I know this is a classic but I honestly don’t care what happens to these two. 3/16 VOLUMES

The Water Dragon’s Bride – While the synopsis is what got me to pick this one up, NOTHING IS HAPPENING! The best character which is the Water Dragon God barely has any lines. 4/ VOLUMES (series is ongoing)

Citrus – I’m only quitting after the first volume. Both of these girls are terrible and I don’t care if they ever get over themselves and get together. 1/ VOLUMES (series is ongoing)

So here is my wrap up for June, moving on to July!♥

  2. Mangas are books Kayla! I don’t read them but they are my son’s favorite even if he can read books with 1000 pages too 😉

  3. Great wrap up, Kayla! Mangas are quite addicting! I’m currently obsessed with webnovels and webcomics. I haven’t heard GOT7’s new album but looks like I really need to check it out. I’m sorry Young Elites was a DNF for you!
Hope you have a wonderful July!
